On le trouve dans l&#8217;all\u00e9e des surgel\u00e9s des grands supermarch\u00e9s de banlieue au Canada, et il s&#8217;est m\u00eame infiltr\u00e9 dans les restaurants fusion et v\u00e9g\u00e9tariens de Toronto, Vancouver et Montr\u00e9al. Mais en Jama\u00efque, le p\u00e2t\u00e9 jama\u00efcain est plus proche d&#8217;un snack de restauration rapide, un d\u00e9jeuner rapide, l&#8217;\u00e9quivalent d&#8217;un burger ou d&#8217;une poutine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deux cha\u00eenes nationales, Juici Patties et Tastee Patties, se disputent le titre du meilleur p\u00e2t\u00e9 jama\u00efcain du pays. Dans les deux cas, la p\u00e2te feuillet\u00e9e et la garniture \u00e9pic\u00e9e sont toujours satisfaisantes. Choisissez comment vous voulez votre p\u00e2t\u00e9 : chaud ou tr\u00e8s chaud, v\u00e9g\u00e9tarien ou non.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/juicipattiesjm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Juici Patties<\/a>: DaCosta Drive, Ocho Rios<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tasteejamaica.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tastee Patties<\/a>: Market Street, Montego Bay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-plats-marines-au-jerk\">Plats marin\u00e9s au jerk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bien que les p\u00e2t\u00e9s jama\u00efcains soient peut-\u00eatre le plat traditionnel le plus connu, la multitude de plats marin\u00e9s au jerk est tout aussi d\u00e9licieuse et accessible au palais canadien. Porc, poulet, tofu, poisson : tout peut \u00eatre marin\u00e9 dans la sauce jerk et tout y est d\u00e9licieux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le jerk est une marinade compos\u00e9e de ciboulette, d&#8217;oignons, d&#8217;ail, de gingembre, de jus de citron vert, de sel, de sucre, de piment de Jama\u00efque, de poivre, de thym, de muscade, de cannelle et de sauce soja, le tout avec des quantit\u00e9s variables de piments scotch bonnet. Et oui, cela peut \u00eatre extr\u00eamement \u00e9pic\u00e9!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On trouve du poulet et du porc jerk partout sur l&#8217;\u00eele, des buffets des complexes h\u00f4teliers aux cabanes en bord de route, et m\u00eame entre les deux. Cependant, Scotchie&#8217;s est de loin la destination la plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre. Situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Drax Hall, juste \u00e0 l&#8217;ext\u00e9rieur de la ville d&#8217;Ocho Rios, la viande (porc, poulet et saucisse) est cuite au feu de bois, pos\u00e9e sur des b\u00fbches mouill\u00e9es et recouverte d&#8217;\u00e9tain. La viande est tr\u00e8s chaude et \u00e9pic\u00e9e ; elle exige une gorg\u00e9e de bi\u00e8re et est extr\u00eamement addictive. C&#8217;est une cha\u00eene, donc vous pouvez en trouver presque partout sur l&#8217;\u00eele!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scotchie&#8217;s : Drax Hall, St. Ann&#8217;s Bay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-une-abondance-de-fruits-etonnants\">Une abondance de fruits \u00e9tonnants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme toute \u00eele des Cara\u00efbes, la Jama\u00efque regorge de ressources naturelles uniques, tant sur terre que dans la mer. La vari\u00e9t\u00e9 des fruits jama\u00efcains est magnifique!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Citons notamment la pomme jama\u00efcaine, la nasberry, la pomme \u00e9toile, l&#8217;ackee, le fruit \u00e0 pain, la pomme-custard, la prune de juin, etc. L&#8217;\u00eele abrite de nombreux fruits que l&#8217;on ne trouve pas au Canada. Cela s&#8217;ajoute \u00e0 l&#8217;abondance de plantains, de bananes, de noix de cajou, de cacao et de noix de coco que l&#8217;on trouve dans les nombreux march\u00e9s de Jama\u00efque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le march\u00e9 aux fruits et l\u00e9gumes d&#8217;Ocho Rios, \u00e0 ne pas confondre avec le march\u00e9 de l&#8217;artisanat de la m\u00eame ville, est local, vibrant et anim\u00e9. C&#8217;est une excellente fen\u00eatre sur la vie quotidienne de l&#8217;\u00eele, et il regorge de fruits qui m\u00e9ritent d&#8217;\u00eatre d\u00e9gust\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ackee-et-morue-salee\"><em>Ackee <\/em>et morue sal\u00e9e<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>C&#8217;est l&#8217;un des plats principaux traditionnels de la cuisine jama\u00efcaine. Ce plat simple combine de la morue sal\u00e9e, que les Espagnols et les Portugais appellent bacalao ou bacalhau, et le fruit local appel\u00e9 ackee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le fruit est plut\u00f4t fade et a une texture \u00e9paisse et cr\u00e9meuse. Le poisson est sal\u00e9 et bouilli, il est donc facilement digestible et a une saveur de poisson tr\u00e8s subtile. Ce plat contraste fortement avec la plupart des plats chauds et \u00e9pic\u00e9s de cette \u00eele des Cara\u00efbes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mom&#8217;s : Evelyn Street, Ocho Rios<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-chevreau-au-cari\">Chevreau au cari<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce plat n&#8217;est pas disponible partout, car c&#8217;est un plat de grande occasion. Cependant, de nombreux restaurants ont leur propre version, y compris Sweet Spice \u00e0 Negril. Cette sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 constitue une bonne introduction au reste de la cuisine traditionnelle jama\u00efcaine. En Jama\u00efque, de nombreux plats combinent un rago\u00fbt avec un ou plusieurs accompagnements \u00e0 base de plantains, de riz, de pois et de pommes de terre. Dans ce cas, le chevreau au cari est la pi\u00e8ce ma\u00eetresse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La poudre de curry jama\u00efcaine est tr\u00e8s similaire \u00e0 la fameuse poudre de curry de Madras. C&#8217;est l&#8217;un des vestiges du patrimoine anglais partag\u00e9 entre la Jama\u00efque et l&#8217;Inde. Ses principaux ingr\u00e9dients sont le curcuma et les graines de coriandre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le chevreau est d&#8217;abord brais\u00e9, puis servi avec les garnitures omnipr\u00e9sentes. La Jama\u00efque \u00e9gale \u00e9pices !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sweet Spice : White Hall Road, Negril<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-bonus-biere-red-stripe-et-quelques-uns-des-meilleurs-rhums-du-monde\">BONUS: bi\u00e8re Red Stripe et quelques-uns des meilleurs rhums du monde!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Les petites bouteilles mignonnes de Red Stripe \u00e9voqueront la nostalgie chez certains, et le produit servi \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur est l&#8217;une des bi\u00e8res les plus rafra\u00eechissantes de cette partie du monde. Et quand il fait chaud en Jama\u00efque, les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s rafra\u00eechissantes de ce nectar p\u00e9tillant vous donneront envie d&#8217;en reprendre une deuxi\u00e8me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N&#8217;oubliez pas que la Jama\u00efque abrite \u00e9galement certains des meilleurs et des plus aromatiques rhums noirs au monde. Le rhum Appleton est c\u00e9l\u00e8bre et m\u00e9rite bien sa r\u00e9putation, mais Plantation et Screech valent \u00e9galement le d\u00e9tour. Le Wray &amp; Nephew White Overproof Rum est principalement utilis\u00e9 pour pr\u00e9parer des cocktails tr\u00e8s forts et br\u00fblera votre gorge si vous l&#8217;essayez
