What is the Best Way to Skip Lines at Disney?

Share the article

We all want to make the most of our Walt Disney World holiday without having to queue for hours, right? But don’t worry, it’s super easy to skip lines at Disney with a bit of planning and the right tools. We all know how much worse it is to wait under a blazing sun, surrounded by concrete, especially when you’re travelling with kids, and we don’t want that for you. But don’t worry, you can still have a great time at Walt Disney World in Florida without having to face the crowds. With a few well-chosen tips, you can significantly reduce wait times, or even avoid them altogether.

After exploring Disney’s four amazing theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom), chatting with other fans, cast members on site, and specialists, we’re delighted to share our best advice to help you avoid long lines. Get ready for a day full of fun and magic at Walt Disney World! 🎢✨

Choose off-peak times

The first step to avoiding lines is to choose the right time to visit the park. Off-peak periods include:

  • January to mid-February: After the holiday season, the park is generally less crowded.
  • Mid-April to late May: Before the summer holidays, there are fewer visitors.
  • September: After the school year starts, the park experiences a drop in attendance.
  • And in early December, before the Christmas holidays, it’s a lovely, calm period.

If you want to avoid the crowds, it’s a good idea to arrive at the park before it opens. The first hours of the day are often the least crowded, allowing you to experience several attractions before the crowds arrive.

And if you want to avoid the lines at Walt Disney World, you can always eat at different times. While everyone else is having lunch or dinner, you can enjoy the attractions with reduced wait times.

And if you want to see the parades, go during off-peak times – they’re super fun, but get there early to avoid the crowds! So, make the most of these special moments to visit those popular attractions.

Use Disney tools

Disney’s FastPass+

Use Disney’s FastPass+ service and you’ll be whizzing through the park in no time! You can even book your slots for the most popular attractions up to 60 days in advance if you stay at a Disney hotel. You can skip the lines and enjoy the attractions without waiting.

Genie+ et Lightning Lanes

And if you need a little extra help, there are also paid services like Genie+ and Lightning Lanes. These services are super convenient for quickly accessing popular attractions.

Magic hours

We all love the magic of Disney, and if you’re staying at one of their hotels, you’ve got an extra special power: Magic Hours! You can enter the parks 30 minutes earlier each day. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the attractions before the crowds arrive.

Use the My Disney Experience App

And don’t forget to download the My Disney Experience App – it’s your best friend! It’ll tell you how long you’ll have to wait for your favourite attractions, so you can plan your day perfectly. You can plan your route so you don’t have to wait in any lines.
